Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hanword mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”), operated by Lazizbek Fayziyev (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. The Service
Hanword helps you learn Korean vocabulary through a swipeable word feed, pronunciation, example sentences, topics, and study tools. We work hard to keep content accurate, but the Service is provided for learning and is not a substitute for formal instruction or certification.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Service. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.
4. Subscriptions & payments
- Some features require a paid subscription. Plans and prices are shown in the app and may include a free trial.
- Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account, subject to Apple’s terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
- Except where required by law (or by Apple’s policies), payments are non-refundable. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the app’s content or dictionary data.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where the law permits.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Intellectual property
The Service — including its design, code, brand, mascot, and curated content — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own learning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is complete or accurate.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We’ll revise the “last updated” date and, for significant changes, give reasonable notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uzbekistan, without regard to conflict of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, unless local consumer law gives you other rights.
